Cinnamon Biscuits made with Chunky CHIPS AHOY! Cookie Pieces

Adding Chunky CHIPS AHOY! Cookie Pieces lets the classic cinnamon bun break out of the breakfast daypart and become an anytime treat for all.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Chunky CHIPS AHOY! Cookie Pieces
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 5 tsp baking soda
  • .5 oz Kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk powder
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, shredded, cold
  • 7 oz water, very cold
  • 9 Tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp cinnamon, ground
  • 12 Tbsp white icing
  • 3/4 cup Chunky CHIPS AHOY! Cookie Pieces

PREPARATION

  1. Mix the first six ingredients together in a large bowl until evenly blended.
  2. Fold the shredded butter into the dry mix, stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Add the water to the mix, and stir until evenly mixed.
  4. Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface, Roll to a 1-inch thickness.
  5. Stamp out the biscuits with a 3-inch cutter and place on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Press a 1-inch diameter divot in the center of each biscuit ½-inch deep.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together.
  8. Add 1 tablespoon of the brown sugar cinnamon mixture into the divots of the biscuits.
  9. Bake 10-12 minutes, remove from oven and let cool.
  10. Drizzle each with approximately 1 tablespoon icing and top with approximately 1 tablespoon of Chunky CHIPS AHOY! Cookie Pieces.
